to inbuilt 'Component for using the Barcode Scanner to read a barcode' and then apk is downloaded.
i wanted to try advance as some time inbuilt was failing so. but didn't get it why its failed.

I have the same compilation error as @Pravina also because of Advanced Barcode Scanner extension, but I cannot use the built in scanner because it does not scan Data Matrix codes. Are you aware of any alternative or maybe how to edit/recompile Advanced Barcode Scanner so it compiles?

What happens if you create an empty project, import that extension and drag it into the working area and then build the project... does it build?

For empty project it builds only if I don't use it in blocks (so if I only put it on screen but don't call any function from it) . For now I have found some replacement using ScanView extension with which my project also builds and which fortunately reads DataMatrics too.
