MQTT extension by Ulrich needs sdk 34 update

Taifun's battery optimization is not upgrading from v1 to v2 but I don't use it so I removed it.

I am yet to get an Android 14 device this week for testing.

Actually this is strange. The old version app is running fine on my phone but when I save it as a new project and install it again on my phone it crashes when trying to open it

Use logcat to find out what's going on

Taifun

For some reason adb is not showing me anything I don't know why, I will have to try another cable but when app crashes I get the following msg

image

The message

SecurityException: One of RECEIVER_EXPORTED or RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED should be specified when a receiver isn't being registered exclusively for system broadcasts

means, that one of the extensions you are using is still not sdk 34 compatible...

Which extensions are you using? Always use their latest version

Taifun

They are shown above in my previous posts. I tried updating them all. One or two couldn't. Battery optimization I removed completely.

Itoo v4.3 is SDK 34 compatible ?

Yes

Yes it is compatible with SDK 34.

@Jimis you also can read this above and take help from the AIA files.

Create a test project for each extension separately to find the extension which still needs an update

Taifun

Seems like it's the MQTT extension

Last update since 2020 ?
Has anyone tested this in Android 14 ?

Hi @Ulrich_Bien
It looks like your extension needs a sdk 34 update

Taifun

There is a new (test) version https://ullisroboterseite.de/_forDownload/de.ullisroboterseite.ursai2pahomqtt.aix.

But I can't test it. My newest phone has Android 13. I hope someone downloads the extension and tests if it works on Android 14 and reports back.

This link (https://ullisroboterseite.de/_forDownload/de.ullisroboterseite.ursai2pahomqtt.aix) is not longer available. Use my regular site instead: https://ullisroboterseite.de/android-AI2-PahoMQTT-en.html

Last night I repaired a project for someone who imported an MQTT aix the wrong way.

I am on my phone so I can not follow up.

Is he in danger?

hello
whay?

He is simply worried that you might be affected if using Android 14 without the update to the extension.
