Introduction & Idea (Progress Tracker App)

Good morning,

This will be my first post, as I'm exploring how active and helpful this forum. I'd also like to see about getting some feedback on my project idea, using MIT App Inventor.

I’m creating a fun progress tracker app where a student interacts with a wise old wizard and then customizes their experience. Here’s a brief overview of the concept:

  • Introduction: The student meets a wise old wizard who provides an introduction to the game.
  • Customization: The student selects a season, which determines the background, totems, and pieces on the board.
  • Course Selection: The student chooses from a list of courses, which are represented as color-coded puzzle pieces.
  • Board Setup: The chosen totem, puzzle pieces, and seasonal background are displayed on the board. The totem remains static until the end of the season.
  • Seasonal Changes: At the end of each season, the background updates, and new puzzle pieces are added to show progress.

I’d love to hear any thoughts, suggestions, or advice on this concept. Thanks!

Your idea needs advanced techniques of list management and graphics.

I suggest doing the Tutorials and looking through the Gallery for samples.
