Hello everyone,
We hope that everyone is staying safe in these difficult times. Meanwhile, we have been hard at work preparing the next release of MIT App Inventor. Version nb183 will be released Saturday night (US Eastern Time) and will include a new companion (2.58). You only need to update the companion to access new functionality.
Here are some highlights in the new release:
- New components: Navigation (Maps); MagneticFieldSensor (Sensors); Serial (Connectivity)
- New blocks: number base block; reverse text block; replace all mappings block; for each key, value in dictionary block
- New component features: Platform/PlatformVersion properties on Screen to determine Android/iOS and version; RunJavaScript and assorted methods on WebViewer; Images can be made Clickable
