Whenever I run the app and click button 1 it shows me the value although not in the way I want it to show. and when I click button 2 and try to upload a new value it stops and shows runtime error.
Might help if you show the runtime error....

Try just setting your responseContent to a label, it could be that you are not getting back a dictionary when you send a value to update.
